About Specialization Decentralized Finance (DeFi): The Future of Finance course

DeFi and the Future of Finance - Four Courses of Study. DeFi, or decentralized finance, is an emerging technology where users interact as peers with algorithms or smart contracts, rather than through traditional intermediaries such as banks, brokerages, or insurance companies. This technology has the potential to transform finance as we know it. It addresses key issues with traditional finance such as lack of inclusivity, inefficiency, opacity, centralized control, and lack of interoperability.

The first course, DeFi Infrastructure , covers the historical evolution of decentralized finance and the problems DeFi solves.
The second course, DeFi Primitives , covers mechanics, supply and ownership, and borrowing and swaps.
The third course, DeFi Deep Dive , explores leading protocols including MakerDAO, Compound, Aave, Uniswap, and dYdX.
The fourth course, " DeFi Risks and Opportunities ," examines key risks, including smart contract risk, governance risk, scaling risk, and regulatory issues. The final part of the course lays out a vision for the future of finance, including winners and losers.
