About Specialization Applied Data Science with R course
This specialization is designed for anyone who has a passion for learning and is looking to develop the skills, tools, and portfolio needed to have a competitive advantage in the job market as an entry-level data scientist.
In these five online courses, you'll gain the skills you need to connect often disparate and unrelated data sources and use the R programming language to transform data into insights that help you and your stakeholders make more informed decisions.
By the end of this specialization, you will be able to perform basic R programming tasks to complete the data analysis process, including data preparation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. You will also be able to create relational databases and query data using SQL and R, and present the results of data analysis using data visualization techniques.
Applied learning project
Throughout the specialization, you will complete hands-on assignments that will help you gain hands-on experience with a variety of data sources, datasets, SQL, relational databases, and the R programming language. You will work with tools such as R Studio, Jupyter Notebooks, and relevant R libraries for data science, including dplyr, Tidyverse, Tidymodels, R Shiny, ggplot2, Leaflet, and rvest.
In the final year of this specialization, you will complete a project in which you will apply the knowledge you have gained to solve a problem that requires data collection, analysis, testing of key hypotheses, visualization, and modeling on real data sets.
