About Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics course
This course may also be credited toward ECEA 5610, part of the CU Boulder electrical engineering master's degree program. This course covers fundamental concepts and topics in quantum mechanics, including basic concepts, one-dimensional potential problems, time evolution of quantum states, and basic linear algebra. It provides undergraduate-level foundational knowledge and builds on it to more advanced topics.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate a thorough understanding of the fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics, including wave-particle duality, operators and wave functions, and the evolution of quantum states; 2. master the mathematical apparatus necessary to study quantum mechanics; 3. acquire the fundamental knowledge necessary to study more advanced quantum mechanics and its applications.
