About Battery pack balancing and power assessment course
This course can also be credited toward ECEA 5734, part of the CU Boulder Electrical Engineering Master of Science program. In this course, you will learn how to design a balancing system and calculate the remaining energy and available power for a battery bank. By the end of the course, you will be able to: - Evaluate various cell balancing designs and articulate their relative merits - Determine component values for a simple passive balancing scheme - Use the provided Octave/MATLAB modeling tools to estimate the balancing rate of a battery bank - Calculate the remaining energy and available power using a simple cell model - Use the provided Octave/MATLAB script to calculate the available power using a complex cell model with equivalent circuit
