About People Analytics course
People analytics is a data-driven approach to managing people at work. For the first time in history, business leaders can make decisions about their people based on deep data analysis rather than traditional methods of personal relationships, experience-based decision making, and risk aversion. In this brand-new course, three leading Wharton professors, pioneers in the field of people analytics, will share the latest techniques used to recruit and retain great employees and demonstrate how these techniques are being applied at leading-edge companies. They will explain how data and sophisticated analytics are used to address people-related issues such as recruiting, performance appraisals, leadership, hiring and promotion, job design, compensation, and collaboration. This course is an introduction to the theory of people analytics and is not intended to prepare students to perform sophisticated talent management data analysis. By the end of the course, you will understand how and when hard data is used to make hiring and talent development decisions and be able to position yourself as a strategic partner in your company’s talent management decisions. This course is designed to introduce you to Organizations that thrive when the people who work in them thrive. Analytics can help do both. This People Analytics course is designed to help you thrive in your career as well.
