Specialization Innovations in Financial Technologies (Fintech)

This specialization is designed to introduce students to a broad range of financial technologies. Although finance has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, the financial industry is rapidly changing as new technologies impact it. In the past, central governments and financial institutions were at the forefront of innovation in finance. Today, information technology firms and professionals are leading innovation in the financial industry. Our goal is to show students the genesis and use cases of the technology. We hope to familiarize professionals with the technology enough that they can use and adapt it in their careers. Applied learning project Stories are part of the human experience. We all have stories to tell, but they are also great learning tools. These courses will use a storytelling approach that will ask you to role-play a character in a context that directly relates to the content you will be working with. This approach will help you relate to the information being presented, challenge you to apply your knowledge and skills in a new context, and give you and others an opportunity to reflect on a shared experience.
