Specialization Healthcare Informatics

This specialization is designed for healthcare professionals, administrators, health IT staff, providers, startups, and patients who need or want to participate in the health IT/informatics process. Over the five courses in this specialization, you will learn about the social and technical context of health informatics problems, how to successfully implement health informatics interventions, how to design a health informatics solution to support decision making, and how to respond to a health informatics problem using data mining and analytics. Applied learning project Students will create a comprehensive health informatics intervention plan by applying knowledge and skills including: change management, workflow redesign, decision support, data query and analysis, and understanding the social and technical context of the health informatics problem.
