Specialization Algorithms for battery management systems

In this specialization, you will learn about the basic functions that a battery management system must perform, how lithium-ion battery cells work, how to mathematically model their behavior, how to write algorithms (computer methods) to estimate the state of charge, health, remaining energy and available power, and how to balance the cells in a battery pack. Applied learning project Students will start with the included code templates (in Octave/MATLAB) to create their own code to model lithium-ion battery cells and packs and estimate state of charge, state of health (capacity and resistance), remaining energy, and available power.
