Engineering and technical managers spend much of their day interacting with others. Indeed, research has repeatedly shown that people skills impact a manager’s ability to succeed or fail. Too often, people move into leadership positions without recognizing the need to improve in this area. This course focuses on interpersonal skills such as listening, counseling, nonverbal communication, mentoring, coaching, building trust, and giving feedback.
